According to our texts, " Intellectual property are resources owned by the firm in the forms of patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets" ( Dess, 2019.) TOMS intellectual properties include content and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs and slogans are trademarks of TOMS® or its licensors. These marks cannot be used without the prior written permission of TOMS®. It is important that these rights be protected because it allows TOMS to be innovative and and foster new ideas that are favorable to its customers.
In terms of the company's human capital, TOMS has great organizational culture. A current employee of the company has stated the company is, " A fun workplace and there is room for growth. TOMS also strives to be a diverse, equitable, and inclusive organization. They hold an annual Day of Learning to reflect on racism, racial inequality, and racial justice, and also bring in speakers every two months to continue learning throughout the year.With all of these efforts, TOMS is creating an environment that stimulates employee growth and connections. This allows the company to become strong and dedicated to its mission and vision.
